On April 10th, 2026, the DWP community came together across three interconnected stages: in-person in Toronto, at DWP locations across Canada, and online from around the world, to celebrate our 18th anniversary. Guests were treated to a breathtaking collaboration with Ballets Jazz Montréal performers Marcel and Zack, who led stunning choreography from “Dance Me”, inspired by the music of Leonard Cohen. Our DWP community also shared a powerful collaborative gesture piece, co-created by participants from coast to coast, alongside Cary Shields’ moving original song “We Belong” — a beautiful reflection of everything Dancing with Parkinson’s stands for: connection, joy and belonging.
