WHO WE ARE
Dancing with Parkinson’s (DWP) is a registered charity that aims to bring seniors with Parkinson's Disease out of isolation and into an artistic community where they can dance and connect with others. We provide a fun, safe environment where those with PD can celebrate the artistry and potential of their own movement.
Guided by this mission, DWP has been providing interactive FREE DAILY classes to ALL seniors across the country on Zoom, while we navigate through social distancing and various comfort levels during the Covid-19 pandemic.

DWP MISSION & VISION
Our mission at Dancing With Parkinson's is to provide dance classes and artistic experiences that enrich the lives of people with Parkinson’s Disease, and the lives of their families, friends, and caregivers.
Our vision is to provide safe, accessible, and inclusive environments where all people affected by Parkinson's Disease throughout Canada can explore the potential of their own movement and artistry while experiencing the social, emotional, cognitive and physical benefits of dancing to music in classes designed for them.
Prior to the pandemic, DWP offered over 15 weekly dance classes for those living with Parkinson's in multiple locations throughout the city of Toronto. In alignment with our core mission to bring seniors with PD out of isolation and into an artistic community where they can dance and connect with others, we've created a new online dance community with approximately 3,000 attendees registering over the course of the pandemic!!
NOTE: Our in-person classes are currently on hold while we continue to practice social distancing. Please consider joining us online every day at 11am EST for free dance classes via Zoom. All seniors of every age, stage and ability are welcome to join! Care partners are welcome but not necessary.
