Dancing with

Parkinson’s

Sharing the joy and benefits of movement, connection, and artistic experiences with people living with Parkinson's and seniors across Canada.

Dancing with Parkinson’s aims to bring people living with Parkinson's disease and seniors out of isolation and into an artistic community where they can dance and connect with others.

DANCE WITH US

The DWP program is specifically designed for people living with Parkinson's disease and seniors who wish to experience the joy of moving to music with us. Using the Dance for PD® Method as its foundation, our research-backed classes provide physical and emotional benefits for those who participate. Our online and in-person dance classes are taught by specially trained DWP instructors who deliver effective, fun, and artistic programming centered on creative self-expression and meaningful connection.

WHO WE DANCE WITH:

  • People living with Parkinson’s disease, their family members and care partners

  • Seniors of all abilities and mobilities, including those using walkers or wheelchairs

  • Seniors living in long-term care homes, assisted living residences, and private homes

  • Care partners and personal support workers

"Without DWP, I wouldn't get up in the morning. Having music and people around every morning really did save my life."
